What was the highlight of Scandic Rosendahl

One of the better Scandic's out there.

My room had a view over the Lake which was a bonus as I stayed for four nights. Breakfast was good, but be prepared for it to be very busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Remember to collect the Car Park "voucher" to place in on your Car dashboard when you check in. The number 10 bus goes from right out side the hotel which takes you in to the centre of town, and you can tap in/pay using your bank card (Runs about every 10 to 15 minutes). So, no need to move the car. I ate at the hotel for two nights out of my four, the food was freshly prepared and tasty. I would stay here again.

Pretty surroundings, good parking, nice place

Nice location, beautiful

Rooms were not ready on time for people with dogs. Schedule was a mess and some people couldn't go to some events they had tickets for.

Wonderful

Very fine hotel. Very beautiful and quiet location. Room is spacious, stuff very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. And its just half hour walking distance from centre.

Sauna could be open all day.

Good

The location is perfect with the lake on a 3 minutes walk through green area. 10 minutes away from Tampere by bicycle. Nice breakfast, with even porrage with extra ingredients for me. Breakfast till 11 and checkout only at 12 is super! Great friendly staff.

The fact that the windows cannot be opened is a no go for me to visit the hotel another time! And the airco did strange things.... In the middel of the tnight is was blowing very hard en cold air all of a sudden etc. The hotel bar closed too early.

Surprisingly good hotel with excellent location

Location! Also, though the hotel is old the room was still in good shape. Especially points for the good bed. I requested a quiet room which was also delivered. There is also free parking!

Considering the age of the hotel there wasn’t much not to like. The decor could be updated but it didn’t really make difference to me

Very pleasant location for short stay if you have transportation.

Beautiful remote lakefront location, with walking trails, bikes available. Breakfast good with gluten/lactose free options. Had some amenities challenges initially, but Mia, Front Desk Manager handled the situation professionally. Must have car to travel to this location. Parking included. 10 minute drive to Tampere center. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. We travelled in the fall, however, there is a beach and tennis courts on the property close by.

Hotel is a little dated. Also 'in suite sauna' did not have a handrail and could be very dangerous.

Great stay to see Tampere and watch hockey at the Nokia Arena

Great location. Very close to the city center. We came to see the NHL Global Games- Go Panthers! To get to the center of the city it’s an easy bus ride or Uber. The room was very very clean. Excellent breakfast buffet.

It’s a bit outdated but in a charming way.

Clean neat facilities. Good breakfast.

Cleaning staff was already before 8am loudly cleaning in the hallway. No peace. They made a lot of noise.

Expensive mediocre hotel

Location was fantastic in a sense that it was in nature and next to summer teather. Food was excellent both for breakfast and at bistro. Staff is really professional

Considering how old facilities are price is way too high. Also fan at the room was making horrible noise during the night (and day). Considering price those basic things should function and be fixed when the building is already very old which shows from facilities.

Inside the room, there was some funny smell, but the windows were sealed, so you can't get some fresh air.

Beautiful location for a short stay

The best part of this hotel is its location. With the forest on one side, the beach on the other side and the city center at walking distance. The breakfast was also very nice.

The hotel facilities feel outdated and there are so many corners/entrance/doors opening to a dark staircase that it feels a bit dead and unsafe. As a woman solo traveller, using the sauna or the pool (underground floor) didn't feel safe (doors not locking properly, no staff at this level, very dark...) I picked this hotel for the beautiful forest location and my room had a view... On the parking lot.... In the room, the bathroom overflowing with water from the shower not having a full closing door is a new concept that I didn't experience before. It seems to be made this way though so I think it is just how it is done in Finland. Not specifically this hotel.
